The Peterman Brothers Charity Showdown is a beloved program, blending the thrill of college basketball season with support for local charities. We raise substantial awareness through community voting and customer engagement and annually donate thousands of dollars to meaningful local causes.

In 2020, we saw many other companies nationwide using a portion of revenue from their maintenance plan members to give back to local charities. It was one of those moments where it was such an obvious, effective way to help.

It was nearing The Big Dance, and our team quickly made the connection between the two to create an annual, bracket-style contest to involve our customers, our community, and the causes and charities we care about.

Every year, from January to February, we ask our Protection Club members to nominate their favorite local charities.

In March, we hold a single elimination tournament bracket, where the community votes weekly until four charities remain.

The final four charities split $5 from every service call for the year.

Throughout the year, we also work to provide more than monetary support for our Charity Showdown winners. We do this via social media channels, providing volunteers, holding donation drives, and more. We work with each winning charity to customize the additional support to fit their needs.

The effect of the donations grows annually as our member base grows. It warms our hearts to see the ripple of this effort, enabling the charities to expand their services, reach more individuals in need, and strengthen their role in making a positive difference in our community.
